Yikes! Miss Barton, You Must Go Back!

The Time Travel Kids are at it again. This time, they travel to meet Miss Clara Barton. At first, they didn't know much about her, but they learned quickly. Miss Barton was a very determined woman. They learned she founded the American Red Cross, so they asked Miss Barton to come with them to the future. At first she didn't believe them, but said she'd go if she could visit an American Red Cross branch and a hospital emergency room. The kids agreed, and they were off to the present. At the Red Cross Branch, she introduced herself as Clara Barton, and the receptionist's eyes widened. The manager gave her a tour, and Miss Barton was especially confident they could handle any emergency. They then visited the emergency room, and it was overflowing. They saw Miss Barton's uniform and enlisted her help. She helped for a couple of hours, then rejoined the kids. She said she wasn't going back to the past. She was needed more in the present. Jake and Emily didn't know what to do. But Miss Barton learned it would take four years of study to work at the hospital, so she agreed to return to the past, happy the Red Cross was always prepared.
