What did Yeshua teach and model to His disciples?
Yeshua gathered 12 disciples and instructed them for 3 years. (Matthew 4:19, 8:22, 9:9, 16:24, 19:21, etc.) During the first year, He traveled with them, personally instructing them primarily by example. They in turn were sent out in 6 teams of twos to disciple others. (Matthew 10, Mark 6:7) Later there were 72 disciples, which is exactly 6 new congregations of 12 disciples. (Luke 10:1) They were to multiply using the pattern, or path, that Yeshua taught them. (Philippians 3:16)
Yeshua said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all Gentiles, immersing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and training them to guard everything I have commanded you. And assuredly I will be with you always." (Matthew 28:18-20)
This book shares how to get started on the Path of Yeshua. His Path is taken from the Bible, starting in Paul's Letters and is very different from the modern church or synagogue model. This Volume covers Romans, (Personal Relationship with God), 1&2 Corinthians, (Operating a Congregation), while the rest of the Path is covered in Volumes 2, 3 and 4. For further documentation or questions, see, "Yeshua's Path, The Gospel" (Vol 2) by the same author.*(Yeshua, in the original Hebrew that He spoke, is Jesus. It means 'Salvation.')
This book is useful for several different kinds of people.
If you are a new Christian, or an old one who feels stagnant, this book will help you grow in a vibrant, practical relationship with God, starting with square one, to ensure you have the proper foundation.
If you are not sure about the Bible or God, this book will provide you with empirical evidence on the existence of God, and that the Bible is the message of that One and Only True Living God. (See Step 6, Torah: Which of the world's religions follows the One True God? p57) But it will then get you started in a tangible relationship with that Living God.
If you are a serious student of the Bible, this book will explain the Biblical means of getting eternal life. This is a topic that we should understand correctly before we get surprised at the Judgment, in a bad way. And it is one that we do not want to teach to other people incorrectly.
If you are interested in investigating the Holy Spirit from a Biblical perspective, this will take up that issue in a practical way.
If you want to investigate the question, 'Should Christians do all the commandments of the Bible including the Law of Moses?' this will give you a load of documentation from the New Testament.
If you are Jewish, this book will educate you on Messiah from the TeNaKh, (Old Testament) and introduce you to Him, in a way that will not take you away from the Torah (Law of Moses.) Opposed to what many teach about Him, He trained His followers to be zealous for the Torah. (Acts 21:20, Appendix A: Messiah)
If you are wondering why there are so many denominations and religions that claim to base their doctrines on the Bible, and yet differ in so many ways, the reason is that people do not understand how to find God's basic message in the Bible. We will discuss what is the best way to study the Bible, so that you are getting what God intends to convey, rather than what man wants to hear. (Step 1 & 12)
Maybe you are just thinking that there must be more to life and you are not sure how to find it. Let me assure you, there is more to life. God is reaching out to you with His Scripture and His Spirit. He wants to walk with you, talk with you, take care you, and have a grand adventure with you. It is all in His manual, the Bible. But time is short. Grab the bull by the horns, and get started.
