Years In My Heart is an inspirational book of poetry that expresses feelings and emotions of a young woman who fell in love and married fresh out of college. The marriage failed and ended at 25 two short years later. The poems were written to purge, realize, let go and ultimately heal the heart. It is this woman's search to comprehend the dynamics of love with a black man such as commitment, marriage, abandonment and self-identity in the mind of a black woman.
