A little girl who says she is not tired lets out a big yawn that spreads to others around the world before coming back to her house. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a cute story with some fun artwork. It shows how a yawn spreads from person-to-person (and sometimes via animal) all the way around the world. Some of it is just silly fun. E.g., "A lady with three fancy poodles / dug into her plate of noodles / then plopped into a soggy snooze. / They put it on the morning news." The book falls short of five stars because, in racing from place-to-place around the world, it lacks a continuing character. Kids like a character they can follow, and identify with, throughout a book.
Must Have for Kid's Book Collection

My daughter is a little over a year old and she loves this book. It has become a requirement for our bedtime routine. She hands it to me when she is tired as a way to tell me it is time to go to bed. It is such a clever story and has great illustrations. The only problem with reading it to a toddler is that she enjoys turning the pages and tears them sometimes. I would definitely recommend this as a gift or an addition to your own child's library.
Love It!

This is probably one of the best books in our collection. What a great imagination the author has! I like how at the end you fold back the flap, and there is little Sara fast asleep after her yawn affected so many people. A must have!!
