She combined her insider's view of America's privileged classes with a brilliant, natural wit to write humorous, incisive stories of social and psychological insight. She was well acquainted with many of her era's other literary and public figures, including Theodore Roosevelt. This second volume collects her works from 1908 to 1919, originally published in two books: TALES OF MEN AND GHOSTS, and XINGU AND OTHER STORIES. It includes "BUNNER SISTERS", left out in other collection for it being a lengthy novella and not a short story. It also includes 10 uncollected stories from the period.
