Published as part of R?, A Journey (2022, Book Locker, Inc.), a collection of publications by Sparsh Kothari. Kothari Publishing, Independent Reviewer-- "Sparsh knows how to swiftly freeze and unfreeze moments in time that were significant to his life and character development as a matured adult and man. Upon freezing these moments, Sparsh beautifully extends his prose to deliver a rich cauldron of genuine sentiment and lucid thought that directly speaks to the volatile fluctuations reverberating the neurons of an unstable but undeniably brilliant subconscious. Upon unfreezing these moments, Sparsh graciously lifts us out of the visceral trenches of Minzh?'s insanity to the calmer shores of reason, letting our minds rest for a few moments and reflect on Minzh?'s psychologically tumultuous journey before releasing us back into the depths of these same trenches. The thoroughly organized structure of the chapters and parts of the narrative lends the reader a useful guide in an often chaotic journey through the luscious grasslands of Minzh?'s psyche. I did not find this book to be a polemic against any sort of political or philosophical thinking, mainly because I am not taking a satirical view of the novel. This book sets aside politics for something more enchanting and exhilarating: a fictional adventure that speaks to the hearts and minds of so many of us that struggle to reconcile our spiritual beliefs with our romantic desires and material curiosity. The book does not deride the struggle as laughable or hopeless but instead demonstrates empathy for the pain, hope, and pleasure born of this struggle. The book is hopeful in that it conveys the message that reconciliation is not only possible but probable if we let ourselves be responsibly vulnerable with our feelings and thoughts and consciously experience and contemplate the beauty, opportunity, and journey of life. This book is accepting of human beings that make mistakes and asserts that mistakes are essential in the maturation of one's character. Through the various romantic experiences Minzh? engages in, he disengages from his na?ve childish beliefs of good vs. evil and grows to understand that morality, as Dr. King suggests, cannot be simplified into a binary dialectic of bad vs. what is not bad, but must be understood in the grayer areas of a life that must be lived both benevolently and pragmatically: Minzh? learns to take seriously Dr. King's paramount message that the forces of love and power are not inherently good or evil but rather, love and power are deeply intertwined and must reconcile in solidarity to effect psychological (in this novel) and material (in a larger context) change. By directly confronting the forces of love and power, Minzh? demands these forces bend to his command as he increasingly asserts his dominant and gracious will upon the world, boldly reclaiming his identity as both a spiritual and political world leader and inflecting an authenticity in his voice that is unparalleled by those around him. For such a reader, the purchase of this novel will deliver a wondrous gift: five hundred pages of thrilling joy, laughter, happiness, hope, and genuine inspiration."
