Xi Jinping is the current General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP),
President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission.
Born in Beijing in 1953, Xi Jinping is the son of the Chinese revolutionary
and former Vice Premier Xi Zhongxun. After graduating from Tsinghua University in 1979,
he rose through the ranks of the CCP, eventually becoming General Secretary in 2012.
He has since implemented a number of sweeping reforms to improve the Chinese economy,
combat corruption, and open up the country to the world.
