Sometimes he wondered if he would have made different choices if he had known. If somehow he could have seen it all in advance. What if he had seen Jaser and the gang? What if he'd seen the monsters, with their blood soaked fangs? What if he'd seen the adventure? Or learned that there could me more than fear and pain. And then more than hope and elation. What if he'd felt the wind in his face as he stood upright on a whipping speeder, clinging for balance? Or what if he'd felt the gash down the line of his jaw? If he had somehow seen the vid clip of what would happen to him in those six years, or been told that things were going to get much, much better before they got worse, would he still have taken that first step? Then he would remember her. And the answer couldn't be any clearer.
