Important progress has been made in characterization of Carbon Nanostructures (CNSs) since their progressive discovery. It is now possible to have devices in various domains resulting of the applications of their unique properties. This book focuses three main aspects of carbon nanostructures grown by catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) process on plan substrates. These aspects including: firstly structure, morphology and orientation of CNSs compared to the substrate surface, secondly, contamination effects during the course of growth and at last, the functionalization of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes (MWNTs) surfaces by sulfonated poly (etherether) SPEEK chains. Of course, new directions of investigation are being performed in order to fully use these outstanding properties of these carbon nanomaterials.
