The contributions in this volume originate from a Bucharest conference in 2013 on the interpretation of miracles in a Protestant and (Romanian) Orthodox Perspective. The articles document not only different hermeneutic and methodical approaches to the exegesis of the New Testament in east and west. It is precisely the difference between the denominational perspectives which makes it clear that the discussion on the phenomenon of miracles is in need of a fundamental problematization of the respective concepts of reality.
