WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART’S BLOOD by Diana Gabaldon ( Outlander, Book 8 ) I was pleased to discover this book picks up right where the last book ended —literally the very next minute! So, Jaime is not dead (duh, of course) and he shocks everyone by showing up at Lord John Grey’s home. Only problem is Claire is now married to LJG (to avoid prison), and poor William Grey has finally realized he’s Jaime’s son. Meanwhile Brianna and Roger are scrambling to find who kidnapped Jemmy! What a convoluted mess! But this is what makes this series such a fun and compelling read (for me at least). I enjoy the adventure, the drama, the characters, their impossible situations, and the way Gabaldon weaves humor throughout. This ends on another cliffhanger and I’m here for it! I want to read the next book (Go Tell The Bees That I’m Gone), but the last book (A Blessing For A Warrior) isn’t even published yet so I think I’ll wait to continue the series until it’s out. Meanwhile, I plan to re-watch the show and its final season ASAP. Rating: 4/5 ⭐️
