Writing & Art Go Hand in Hand

I am a 5th grade elementary teacher and I have owned this book since it first came out in 1988. Many of our classes include the special education population here on Long Island, so we are always looking for good, hands-on activities to highlight our teaching. So many of my colleagues have borrowed my copy of this book that it is now in tatters. The format is simple; It provides a simple format for every type of poem you could think of, and ideas for artistic presentations of the final product. Our building has grades 3-5 in it, and I have lost count of the people who have borrowed this book when their professional observations are scheduled. It is fun, informative, and easy to use! I even used it to help my children when they had poetry assignments in high school! Great value, great book.
