Writer-in-Residence

By: Hoskins, J. a.

When Rebecca Morley's carefully constructed life unravels in the unlikeliest of places, she is forced to confront a question she never thought she'd face: Who am I when I am no longer who I was?

Far from home, thrust into upheaval she neither chose nor expected, what begins as betrayal becomes the start of a journey - one that pushes her to confront old truths, rediscover her voice, and decide whether the past will define her future.

Set against the dazzling, restless backdrop of Las Vegas, Writer-in-Residence follows Rebecca as she navigates between what she has always known and the possibilities she never dared imagine. Along the way she encounters new friendships, unexpected allies, and the creative spark she thought she had lost. Writing becomes not only her refuge but her compass, guiding her toward a self she had nearly forgotten: independent, curious, unafraid.

Rebecca's journey is raw, hopeful, and bracingly honest, demonstrating that change isn't always tidy, healing is seldom linear, and joy often arrives where we least expect it.

A contemporary novel about reinvention, resilience, and the courage it takes to author a life of your own making, Writer-in-Residence is for anyone who has stood at the edge of a familiar life and felt the pull of an unwritten page - a reminder that endings are rarely the end, and that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is start anew.
