Stumbled upon a Good One

Serendiptious occurences are just great! I stumbled over this woman's work during a Google search and needed to get my niece a book for her birthday, so I bought this one. (Yeah, the book is for boys, but tom boys like my niece can really dig it.) I read it first to make sure that it was appropriate for a twelve-year-old. Very much so! And what an exciting read. My niece devoured it in a few days. That's why I bought her another TJ Perkins that was more "girl" oriented. That was a hit, too. I have a review of that book, too. This author is a fantastic storyteller, certainly she creates the thrill that JK Rowling does, and yes, I've read Harry Potter books, too. Getting the picture here? Adults would like a read like this, as well. I always like to read what my nieces and nephews are reading because we actually have somethning to talk about! Give this one a read for yourself before getting a copy for your young teen son. And then, discuss, discuss, (ha-ha).

Very Good Story

This is a very good story that will keep the attention of the adult as well as the child. Each time I picked the book up I didn't want to put it down until I found out what was happening next. After putting the book down my mind continued to wonder about the characters and what was happening to them. This story surely keeps the reader entertained chapter after chapter. The suspense is great and the descriptive talent of the writer comes through greatly.

Wound Too Tight

I have two boys, ages 7 and 10. They did not want me to stop reading. The book was exciting, and the end of each chapter kept us wanting more. I even had a difficult time waiting until the next night to see what was going to happen. The characters were well defined and the story line was easy to follow for my children. A must read for everyone with young boys!
