The Bally Manufacturing Corporation was founded by Raymond Moloney in 1932. The company took its name from its first game, Ballyhoo. The company, based in Chicago, quickly became a leading maker of pinball games.

The pinball division was acquired by Williams Electronics in 1988.

We then fast forward to 1995, when the company opened Bally's Casino Tunica in Tunica, Mississippi.
