The film starts nicely with panic in the streets. We must wait, like everyone else, to find out what the problem is. Soon, our potential fuzzy-faced hero must make a moral decision. It looks like the world is at “steak.”
We chew our fingernails as the plot thickens. Is there no way out?
I enjoyed the distraction of the movie and the few predictable twists and turns. There was nothing spectacular or extraordinary in the presentation. The DVD extras showed the producers were proud that they displayed the bites as a virus with one purpose: to spread and survive; at one time, this may have been a new idea. Today, everyone portrays virus-strewn people as vicious vectors.
