World Walkers: The Blob World

Three children in a sleepy Florida neighborhood are thrust into a new and dangerous world when they discover a wormhole in their nearby forest. The strange and confusing Blob World, a planet quite literally made of purple blobs, does not fail to bemuse the children as they try to escape to their home. Separated from each other, Adele Seldon (the 9-year-old genius), Marie Seldon (Adele's rather less incredible sister), and Jacob Frankly (a close friend of Marie) confront various evils and discover interesting and, in some cases, disturbing things about themselves and each other. In their quest to escape their imprisonment in this world, they fight demons, zealots, and their deranged school principal, meet a Holy Guy and a Hermit, deal with various annoying animals called Buushies, and discover that a pile of cushions can be sentient.
