Sorry! It's Not a Marvel Comic Book!

Sorry, it's not Wonderdog and Polyanna. It's one of the most remarkable and comprehensive surveys of the ancient world written in the twentieth century. It's a 10 on a scale of 0-5. But in a world where "long" movies never exceed 100 minutes, it is a dinosaur, and well beyond the reach of most. But I would not agree that the material is dry or boring - just way outside of the 90-minute attention span of today's typical reader.
