A brother offers an impartial endorsement

As the author of "The Ten Commandments for Making Money" and other books, I couldn't be more proud of this outstanding first book by my brother. In "Working with Difficult People" he has exhibited experience-based sagacity for which I suspect few of his siblings would have given him credit. But siblings are often the last to recognize greatness and speaking for them, I can only hope that his early research for this volume was not family-based. The entire Essential Manager series focuses on practical and effective strategies that you can use to improve your professional life by implementing as soon as you put down the book. Raphael Lapin's "Working with Difficult People" perfectly fits this model. The "Jerk at work" is often the most unpleasant part of our work lives. We all dream of getting rid of him but we know that this is nothing but fantasy. He's always the boss's nephew or something like that. Some of us quit our jobs and move on in the hope of escape but horror of horrors, there she is again in the new company! Different name, different person, but the same old jerk. Yet another difficult person. They are everywhere. The best escape is learning how to work with them and the best means of learning how is this book. The funny thing is how frequently people employing Raphael Lapin's tips and techniques discover the difficult person improving. Or maybe you just feel better about them. But that is the same thing isn't it? What is more, you will be astonished to discover how effectively this book's strategies will work with family members too! An added bonus. I think it is a terrific book. Am I predisposed in its favor? Of course I am but in writing this review, I have tried to be dispassionate. Could I nitpick here and there in order to appear more 'balanced'? Of course but what's the point? I am recommending this book for almost everyone because it is well worth the price of admission regardless of the nitpicks. So, go for it, you won't be sorry. (And if you haven't seen my books yet, well,......just kidding!)
