Words from my heart

This collection of poems was written over a period of ten months. I had no thought or intention of writing poetry, but the first lines of the first poem came into my heart during one dark night when I was aware of spiritual opposition. At more or less the same time a song of triumph rose up within me, and by the next day a poem had emerged. Following this first poem, I found myself in different situations where I wanted to encourage friends and found it easier to express what was in my heart through a poem rather than to do so in a conversation. Then came a number of instances where I myself was in need of spiritual direction. I sought the Lord, read His word, tried to express what I felt was going on and looked for direction from Him. The end result was this present collection of poems.
