Word games are something that can please all people, from the child that is first capable of language to those who have uttered many statements over their many years. Some of my favorite games in elementary school were the songs that were a form of wordplay and I can still remember them. This book contains descriptions of many types of word games, some examples are: *) A word is uttered and each subsequent person must use a word that begins with the last letter of the previous word. *) A word is uttered and each subsequent person must use a word that does not contain any letters of the previous one. *) Making up phrases for car license plates, where the length is restricted. *) Riddles involving puns or slight alterations of word meanings. The large number of games in this book will give anyone many options in the generation of games to amuse children all the way up to games for adults to play when they get together for social interaction. The enterprising will also have no trouble thinking up variants of many of the games. They also have the additional advantage of being educational.
