Page turner

Initially I thought I had the book figured out. I’m glad I stuck with it because Howey did a good job keeping the reader engaged with just enough clues to keep me thinking about the world and the plot. There are times in the mid-late sections when I was less interested in the conflict, but the perspective changes and twists occurred frequently enough that it’s a minor nitpick on personal preferences, not a complaint on the book as a whole. I am looking forward to unraveling the rest of the world in the sequels, based on others’ spoiler-free reviews.

One of the best books I’ve read in awhile. The world building, non perfect protagonists, mystery and character development is like non other.

Very excited to read this. I saw a little indie game that was inspired by this book’s story and I loved the game. I knew I had to read the source material for it!

My favorite post-apocalyptic dystopian book ever!

The Wool Omnibus is the best apocalyptic fiction I've ever read. After getting to know the lives of the various characters, the mystery of the world in which they live slowly unfolds to reveal a much bigger plot than the characters could have envisioned. This is *not a semi-romantic YA dystopian world. This is hard-core post-apocalyptic survival fiction. Once you've finished, you'll want to explore the many, many spin-off books set in the world of Wool. The author approved the publication of fan fiction by various authors, and you'll feel compelled to get sucked into hundreds more stories in the Wool universe.
