I am new to woodworking, and I am in the process of absorbing as much information as I can to reach a decent level of competency. This book contains lots of useful info, tips, and ideas to accomplish various woodworking tasks. Most seem quite obvious when you read them, but I never would have thought of them on my own. Recommended.

NEW & BETTER SOLUTIONS, EXPERT ADVICE, EXCELLENTLY WRITTEN,

I have bought many woodworking books over the years and this is by far the BEST BOOK OF ITS KIND I have found. Most woodworking books promise much more than they deliver, some giving solutions that are repeated again-and-again in other books and magazines year-after-year, some of which aren't really that good. "The Woodworkers Problem Solver" gives DIFFERENT AND BETTER SOLUTIONS to many of the usual problems and also addresses problems that don't seem to show up in other reference sources. It draws upon the knowledge of many quite a number of proven experts in the various disciplines of woodworking. The name of the contributor is listed with each solution, most of whom will be recognized by seasoned woodworkers as being the best in their field. In addition to solutions, a piece on "Avoiding the problem" is presented for some of the solutions. "Another View" is occasionally presented which gives a totally different, sometimes unorthodox approach to solving the problem. Excellent pictures, drawings, diagrams and charts are provided whenever needed to clarify the text. Boxed sections are used throughout to explain in full detail a how a certain procedure should be done in the first place to minimize mistakes and problems. With over 300 fully filled pages, the book is also a good value. I think both experienced and novice woodworkers will find this book very helpfull as well as interesting, enjoyable reading. It could take the place of half a dozen poorly written incomplete books that I already have on my shelves.
Excellent book! Found 4 tips I could use right away!

This book is so good I just ordered one for a fellow woodworker friend. Easy to use tips and even though some may seem a little unconventional, they work.
