This is a Giant Edition ,#242,of the long running series of "The Trailsman",published in December 2001.At 261 pages ,it is about 100 pages longer than the normal for this series. It is an excellent ,fast action adventure that takes Skye Fargo all the way from St Louis to New York,by horseback,no less;to help one of the country's richest men find his daughter. His daughter has been missing in the wilderness of northern New York, along the Canadial border. She and her party were on an expedition in search of the legendary, savage Killamak tribe, who have been known to kill any intruders who dared to enter their lands. The story is very well conceived and written and there is not a page where something exciting doesn't happen. In this tale you are going to meet some of the most unsavory characters imaginable, and then there are the Indians.Fargo knows about, and has met up with as many types of Indians as anyone;but these Killamaks are a whole new "breed";that are beyond anything Skye has ever encountered,or for that fact, even ever imagined.Wait till you see what the Killamak's hold in store for anyone they capture.Even Fargo manages to get a taste of their treatment. The characters Fargo encounters in this tale, are more than Fargo can stomach, but fear not ,our hero manages to survive and to live another day;that is after taking a few days off ,back in a sleepy little hamlet in Pennsylvania,on his way back west, where the life and land are more to his liking.
