The real Xinjiang

This is a wonderful coffee table size book on this north west corner of China in text and pictures before September 11 Terrorists attack to America. The Chinese photographer left his mind and body in enjoy this land of paradise for the fresh air, open meadows and warm and friendly people. The residents are a racial minority of Moslem who makes pilgrimage to Mecca. The extreme Moslems in their ideology provoke some discontent citizens to cause trouble and violence after their homage return. Same as America, China had its share of terrorist attack in the land of peace. China and America work together to combat the religious fanatics. Only a few years ago, America take the group off terrorist organization. Many of the American politicians are ignorant on China culture and history with no Xinjiang experience. They started the lies and deceptions on this place in slave labor in harvest cotton, concentration camps and genocide which the State Department do not agree. The camps are to re-educate the extreme people for a skill to make a living. The government does not use drone to kill them, but to train them back to the society. Prof. Huntington on Clash of Civilization was afraid of the working of Moslem and Confucianism against Christian West. This Reader Digest book give you an arm chair tour of this place. Enjoy.
