Customer Reviews

This is a run-of-the-mill superhero movie.

In the footsteps of Joseph Campbell and DC Comics, we have a new hero who must come of age and, through trials by fire, learn about the real world and the people in it. Young Diana (8) (Lilly Aspell) was raised and protected without knowing who she is or what the world of man was like. Then one day Diana (Gal Gadot) was visited by a pilot (Chris Pine) from that outside world. After learning of the outside world, Diana had a quest to save mankind. She had no idea who she was or where her quest would take her physically and emotionally. We travel through the world and learn with Diana about destiny and purpose. Unfortunately, this is a standard contemporary superhero film. There are lots of shoot-them-ups and flybys. Of the few metaphors of wisdom, there is nothing unique about this film other than it looks like a pilot for the next film. On the positive side, there is no potty mouth, gratuitous s ex scenes, or heavy smoking.

Boring
