Every woman should own this book.

The Women's Legal Guide was recognized by Choice Magazine, a highly regarded academic journal, as an Outstanding Academic Book for 1996.Choice selects a very small percentage of the several thousand books that it reviews to receive this honor.Notwithstanding the outstanding academic content of this volume, the language is clear and accessible to the average reader. Lists of books and journal articles, as well as relevant organizations, appear at the end of each chapter.I have recommended this book to women friends seeking information on a host of issues, from adoption, prenuptial agreements, a lawsuit against a drunk driver, to estate planning and the death of a parent.I keep a copy both in my office and at home--I wouldn't be without it.

I needed this book for information regarding Intellectual Property Rights. It helped me understand enough about the subject to ask intelligent questions of my own legal council. Each of the chapters is distinctly interesting, and easy to understand. I plan to give it as gifts to my women friends at the holidays.
