As a girl grows up in a small town in Eastern Europe, her single mother labors in a factory to support them. After deciding at age nineteen that her life is going nowhere, she buys a plane ticket to America. Despite never speaking a word of English, the girl is determined to start over in a place where she hopes better opportunities await.

Unable to secure any other work than that of a stripper, the young woman soon discovers that it is up to her to fulfill every man's fantasy. As she becomes immersed in a slimy reality, the woman must relinquish her tips to the club manager, battle with other strippers over regular customers, and determine who she can trust in a country where she knows no one. When she loses complete control of her life, the woman finally escapes with help from a friend. Now as she searches for her place in her new home, the woman must learn to distinguish between love and lust within a dark world where everyone wants something from her.
