Along with his partner, Chief Investigator William King, an "alienist," he hunts a disturbed killer. King and Petrenko relax by considering Jack the Ripper suspects. Vadim's son, Michael, is a NYPD detective in the 1950s. The family changes the surname to Peters during the "Red Scare." Senator Joe McCarthy is on a mission to rid the country of Communists. Detective Peters and his partner care about solving murders, bombings, and the Brooklyn Dodgers, who finally win it all in 1955. Carrying on his father's hobby, Mike and his partner share theories on who was Jack the Ripper. Shane Peters, the third generation police detective, broke his father's heart by moving to Washington, DC to take a detective position in the early 90s. It was the murder capital of the nation! Mike has plenty of cases and his own idea on who Jack the Ripper was. As he stalks a serial killer, another President faces charges of conspiracy.
