Yummy!

The third installment of this series has been my favorite, so far. The story is great, but the characters are what really made it for me. Shannon & Jake are by far the deepest character study, thus far. They both has issues, and together, they work through them. I'm anxiously awaiting reading Wolf Tales IV, V, and VI.

More good stuff on the Chanku.

First off, I must say that Kate Douglas either has excellent control over her cover art and extremely great taste in sexy people or her publisher chooses models very, very well. None of the Wolf Tale covers are weak. All the men are SUPER, easily fitting the conceptualization in the stories within. And, these are MEN, not young prettyish boys. (Yeah, and the women are fine, also. But I prefer the MEN! And the Sexy Beast and SB II covers are almost as good, although just not quite as perfect.) Unfortunately, some books choose cover models that in no way fit the story description of their charms. Go, Kate Douglas! Anyway, back to the story. Jacob Trent has screwed up, royally. In a previous story, he is shown to have attemped the unthinkable in the Chanku (shape-changing) world; trying to force himself on his leader's mate. Oops! His bad. Sent on a mission he feels is either a deserved punishment, or just to get him out of the way, he comes upon a woman being abducted from her home. (Good timing!) Saving the day, he starts to feel and hope that she might be his Chanku mate, but obstacles, including their own nervous feelings and her confusion plus the bad guys from her past, keep Shannon and Jacob from accepting their destiny. Luckily, hot for long. (That 'hot' was a typo, but I am leaving it in. Freudian slip? Should have been "not" for long.) Oh, did I mention, the usual very good hot sex, well-drawn protagonists, and a high quality well-thought-out plot line and society. The more I read of Kate Douglas' Chanku world, the more caught up in it I am. It took me far too long to get into her stories. Next story due in June. Can't wait. Did I mention how great her covers are? Especially this one. Yum!

Wolf Tales III

Shannon's life has been one long search for belonging but it isn't until she meets Jacob that she recognizes that. The circumstances of their introduction are strange but also enhance their feelings. They are dependant upon each other and since neither can resist it, the sexual tension is kicked up a notch making for some extremely erotic scenes. Although Shannon and Jacob quickly develop feelings for each other, they are Chanku and have an appetite for sex that is not easily appeased. They must work out just how their relationship will develop, especially with all of the changes in store for Shannon. What's Next???

Rather hot book, but the story, and there is one, is actually dragging me in. I'm hoping there's more books to come. Make sure you have a fan nearby when reading.

Another excellent installment to this series

Each page ratchets the physical and sensual tension higher and higher, with well-written characters you find yourself rooting for and genuinely liking. Intertwined with Jacob and Shannon's story are glimpses of Luc and Tia, and even Anton and Keisha from the first book, making readers of the series feel like they're peeking in on past characters and getting an update into their lives. This is a hot, emotional tale. If you love werewolf (shape shifter) erotic romances with strong alpha males then run, don't walk, to your nearest book store and pick up Wolf Tales III. While you're there, don't forget the first two books in the series, because I guarantee when you finish reading Shannon and Jacob's story, you won't be able to get enough of Kate Douglas' Chanku.
