A junior residential medical practitioner and an attending surgeon aspirant, Beatrice Smith was enthusiastic about her job and wouldn't let even the littlest of vicious scheming of her nemeses at work mare her happiness. She decided to give in to a budging romantic relationship with a distinguished surgeon at the hospital; life couldn't be better. However, opposition kept rising within and outside the pack; an insurrection began brewing within the territory; a confrontation broke out within the council leading to a glaring division due to the refusal of signing a treaty which would consequently lead to paying allegiance to a very powerful and illustrious pack and would ultimately strip the Phoenix pack off their autonomy. Eventually, Cain was attacked by an opposing pack on his way to a destination far away from his territory, leading to a fatal accident. He was rescued by an emergency team and rushed to a hospital. Unfortunately, he was so badly injured that his chances of survival were barely feasible.

Beatrice swore she would do everything she could to save the patient assigned to her, not just to prove her assailers wrong, but to save a life. Unfortunately, it was far worse than she had imagined. Unexpected hurdles kept arising at every point during the course of administering his treatments until finally; she arrived at a juncture that defied every scientific theory.
