The Stations Of The Cross is typically a service within the Catholic Church with readings and prayers. Its history is more than a little interesting, but the focus for this booklet has been about adopting a different approach to what is a key form of worship for many Christians

Rather than direct the reader in prayer or worship, each poetic reflection is presented in the form of a witness to the Station in focus, i.e. from the point of view of someone who was there but not part of the close family-and-friends group that had been with Jesus since the beginning. Each witness has a connection with Jesus - their lives were changed forever by meeting him, and now all they can do is watch and reflect or pray from a position of helplessness at each Station.
