Ukan is an unsophisticated locality, blessed with a prominent Chief whose formidable polygamous family nourished his life until his death.
However, following the death of Chief Akpan Udo Obio, a fiendish calamity befalls the family of his first son, Etim, forcing him to bury at least one of his promising children every year with the cause of the death remaining a mystery.
Etim's anguish is unbearable, and he is desperate for solutions. As it appears, his efforts at getting answers are proving futile, his wife takes the bull by the horns, leading him to a seer, who reveals to them that the cause of their misfortune is within their legs.
