"Within" is about love, desire, heartache, suffering, and other emotions that people feel within themselves. The author has been influenced by life's struggles but also the beauty of this world. JJ Violet sought C.S. Lewis, Native American culture and mythology, Buddhism, Irish folktales, and the story of Job to help him deal with some of life's ups and downs over the past few years. The author feels that poetry can be liberating and he loves to express his emotions through words. In "Within", the author has given the reader a brief description of the poem or the author's feelings towards the subject matter.
