Within The Walls is a poetry collection about abuse, survival, self-sabotage, grief, mental health, and self-discovery-
all told through stories about how houses harbor the truth.

All that has happened within the walls remains in the echoes of the memories.
Within the walls of a house lurk the ghosts of all the stories untold.

These are the stories of the cries, the blood-stained walls, the haunting of our own thoughts, but also the resilience that has grown.

Within The Walls is both literal-referring to the physical walls of a house-and metaphorical, representing the psychological walls within the mind.

Our minds carry stories of their own-echoes that cannot be silenced.
On the outside, we may appear perfectly polished, but within lies the truth.

We leave a house, a place, but the ghosts of the memories stay.
And within our minds, they follow us wherever we go.
All the eerie noises are the ghosts of our own cries, because the walls within never forget.

These are the stories behind the curtains.

Memories of her eyes dry in that house are faint,
but echoes of her cries still circulate.
She entered that house innocent,
but she left tainted.

To this day, its new occupants say
they can still hear her footsteps.
Her voice is often mistaken for the wind-
until they step outside and are met with silence,
they realize the walls hold the noise within.

The cries and crashes cannot be forgotten.
The walls have been repainted, but the memories
bleed-

the fake apologies,

the lost opportunities,

the forgotten itinerary.

All the agony continues to linger underneath.

The house that cracked and creaked,
not from age, but from grief.
