This coloring book could be so much better. Yet, they say you find what you look for (even if it's buried under a mountain of pretzel crumbs and crumpled boarding passes). Since we're in the clouds, let's focus on the silver linings. The fact this coloring book exists is a small miracle. We gave ourselves 83 hours to do it. And here it is! "With Flying Colors" was born out of sheer whimsy and a whole lot of "Why not?" -- That's pretty much the motto for both of us. Mandy flew some planes (no need to go into the details of her lack of license) here and there, eventually becoming a flight attendant and meeting Ashley, who started as a flight attendant, then became a pilot. Our life stories could fill a book. Or, well, a coloring book, apparently. Let's talk about these illustrations. They're AI-generated, with a sprinkle of Canva magic. Navigating those AI prompts was like making a pie blindfolded - confusing, but oddly satisfying. We spent hours watching IG and YouTube tutorials. (Remember, like Nate Bargatze, we're from the 1900s.) One program had a strange fixation on tropical scenes, despite our prompts being as tropical as a slip jig in a blizzard. And let's not forget the extra appendages it added to our characters, which we left in for giggles along with our favorite AI-prompt blunders. We have no doubt you'll discover ridiculous, disturbing, confusing things we have yet to find. Enjoy the chaos! Who's this book for, you ask?
