With All Due Respect, Mr. President is an inside look at the man who captured America's heart during the United States presidential elections of 2008 and 2012. After five years in office (a full first term and the beginning of a second term) the President has morphed into possibly the most misunderstood man in America today.When President Obama warned Iran, Syria and North Korea not to cross certain red lines, Americans misunderstood that the President had no intention of following through. When he told Americans who had health care insurance that they need not feel threatened over his revolutionary health care legislation because they could keep their current health plan, people misunderstood that he was simply saying this to win support because he knew his law, when passed, forced insurance companies to cancel thousands of policies. When the President promised to conduct a transparent government, people misunderstood that he meant he would release documents from the Bush administration to make the Bush administration transparent but reserved the right to keep his own administration's documents secret. When the President promised to take American troops out of Iraq, people misunderstood that he meant he would do so by sending them to Afghanistan instead.
