It's summer vacation and ten-year-old Kedge just wants to relax, sleep late, and enjoy a carefree day at the beach with his family. But his dad has different plans. He's been away and wants a special day alone with his only child. With Dad's help, Kedge notices all sorts of new things about the beach they've been to many times before-sand dollar doves, mermaid's purses, the sun, the moon, the tides, and more.
