Wise Words from the Bible

Great book -- contains 365 nuggets of wisdom. Godly wisdom is what the world truely needs. The world just does not thirst for it. The world only thirsts for success. However, in wisdom is true sucess.

great for small bits of encouragement

This book holds some of my favorite words/passages! I turn back to it whenever I'm having trouble in life and it always gives me encouragement and hope!

Wise Words for Any Body!

For the life of me, I can't figure out why the subtitle to this book is "Wise Words for Busy People" because this book can and does apply to everyone. This is the first of Swindoll's books I've read. He provides some very interesting and thought-provoking comments on life in general and the involvement that God should have in all aspects of one's life. The book was a St. Valentine's Day gift from my wife, and a good gift it was. Swindolls' words of wisdom, combined with selected verses of Scripture, make "Wisdom for the Way" a wonderful addition to one's inspirational library. Reading this selection will very much make me seek out more of Swindoll's books. Thanks!A Reader in Louisville.
