Proverbs teaches us that a wise person is one who reverences God and applies God's wisdom to life's challenges. Wisdom will be demonstrated in accordance to our relationship with God. Reverence is respect. If we respect God, we will listen diligently to Him and employ His wisdom. The Lord instructs us to invest our life in wisdom. We must search for it diligently. We must acquire it. Desire it. Get it? Desire and acquire! Seek and find. Do we actually want the wisdom that will keep you on the right course of life? Then seek wisdom as if your life depended on it. Keep in mind, when we seek wisdom, God will reveal himself. In other words wisdom will manifest Himself to us. It will be more than words; it will be life to us. It will be reality to us. If you value wisdom, you will do whatever it takes to gain it. Do you wish to receive the words that will guide you through this life? Are you willing to first discover the commandments that wisdom offers for discretion and success in this life? Do you desire a wisdom that will direct you how to achieve the proper goals in the proper manner? Then after discovering the commandments wisdom presents in Proverbs, are you willing to hide them in your heart? These are the questions that must be seriously considered as you move on in this study.
