incredible finale to the trilogy

What an incredible finale to the Nordic Wars trilogy. This book picks up right after the second book's ending and runs full speed until the last battle. Packed with non-stop action, emotions that encompass the whole spectrum of human feelings and fantastic faith threads and allegories, the book will keep you up way past your bedtime. The northern and southern worlds became more amazing the deeper I became entrenched in the worlds. I loved learning more about the bond the Nordics have with their animals, their unique gifts in war according to clan and the Truthsayer's purpose, power, and burden. Most of the story was told in third person through Brighid and Kaeden's voices but there were occasional chapters told through Gurmund and Armand's voices as well. Love was a prominent theme in this book - loyal love for family and friends, romantic love that went deep and bound soul, heart, and mind, and all-encompassing love for Word that required complete surrender and heartfelt obedience. Forgiveness and hope were also prominent themes that spurred on the characters. If you enjoy fantasy books, this is a must read.
