Rather than fleeing, Isla decides to get to know Warren better, but in a phone call to her mother, she's warned to stay far away from the reclusive vampire. She doesn't listen. When she finally makes it into town, she's not the same person she was before, and she has to make the hardest decision of her life: Love her vampire, or let him go.

But there's someone in Winter who wants to force her selection, and when the blood settles, no one will have a choice.
