Book Overview

Happy 90th birthday, to one of the world's most beloved icons of children's literature, Winnie-the-Pooh! Since 1926, Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends--Piglet, Owl, Tigger, and the ever doleful Eeyore--have endured as the unforgettable creations of A.A. Milne, who wrote this book for his son, Christopher Robin, and Ernest H. Shepard, who lovingly gave Pooh and his companions shape. These characters and their stories are timeless treasures of childhood...

A trip down memory lane 🍯 🐻

I ordered this as a replacement for a book I had as a kid. This took me down memory lane. ♥️

Slightly Disappointed

I purchased the book in which it said it was in very good condition. A good chunk of the pages are crinkled up to where they no longer lie flat properly. About 1/3 of the book has crayon scribbles all over it. Really confused as to who inspected this book and thought it was okay to say it was in “very good condition.” Anyways, the book itself is wonderful. I’ve always loved Pooh since I was a baby. I wanted to add it to my classroom library, but I may just use the copy I received to explain to my students how we don’t treat our books... If you love Pooh and friends as much as I do, this book is always a must for your collection, just be warned that the condition you pay for may not be the condition you’ll receive.

wrong book sent

Copy of book sent was not what was shown and was not in Like New condition

The book was listed as like new. I received a book that shouldn’t even be listed as acceptable. The front cover and first chapter are going to fall off the second I open the book. Not what I purchased.

Winnie The Pooh was not in good condition. It is

The book was in such terrible condition, I am return. I will not be using this in my library.

Wonderful childhood memories

When I was a young child and we had no tv (47+ yrs ago), my father would read us this book in the evening. He would make all the different voices and I could see it all in my head. I was in awe of him, reading this wonderful book and telling such wonderful stories. When I have seen the movie, I very fondly recall my father reading to us, inspriring us to read and imagine.

Great Book

This is a great book for young children, They can look at it by themselves or enjoy listening to an adult read it.

A useful guide to Latin

My wife and I love this book -- as I study my greek and latin I find that there are far too few "real" connections of the languages for me. Imagine my surprise when she suggested this work to remind me of my youth, and yet advance my studies. And, surprisingly enough, it does help! I just wonder if reading it to my little girl (10 months) is a good idea or not. The latin of the Grinch is confusing enough!
