An Important Book to Consider

I am currently reading this book after buying it used online. I am more than one hundred pages into the book, and have found it useful. It deals with the concept of motivation, and how for every student that succeeds, there is inevitibly a student who fails, based on our current system. This book has helped me understand important concepts of motivation. I do appreiciate the honesty of the author, who admits that extrinsic motivators can be used (very sparingly) because it can help the student see their progress (grades). The author has another book, although I know it doesn't go into as much detail about motivation. Winners Without Losers has even led me to think about other books I would like to read, namely work on Self-Determination by Edward Deci. If you are interested in learning about the movitation of students, then this book applies to all grade levels, even adult education.
