Never have I read such heartfelt poetry in the quality manner as expressed by Yolantha Pace which has beautifully created a mosaic and historical making of a masterful work that has declared Yolantha as modern day poetical icon and genius who delves into forbidden issues from fear, and abuse to compassion and the plight of Black African Americans with no apologies. Wing Plucked Butterfly is a martyr and template of the mended and wounded woman's soul that with extreme care is a monumental neo-soul flower-child work of what poetry should represent from a creative aspect, and from a woman who has found the inner strength to defy inner war, and release one's emotions like a fiery ball of fire with warmth and peace. We know that one person cannot stop hate crimes, social destruction and war, but it is our belief that Yolantha has challenged this assumption with her latest dual series poetry book with beautiful heartwarming short stories embedded as well such as Nella's plight to find serenity by reading the bible. The amount of creativity in Wing Plucked Butterfly from one poetess is a mountain that will be difficult for modern day poets to climb over. Ms. Pace has built a fortress of poetical excellence with talent brewing with what we predict will find true success for Yolantha in the not to distant future if she continues on this journey as a poetess with a true mission. This is definitely one of my favorite poetry works to date.
