Well organized and Informative

Wine at Your Fingertips is just the type of wine book for folks like me who enjoy a good glass of wine, but do not always feel confident enough to select or purchase a glass or bottle. The guide is well organized so you can go to the topic you need with ease, and is written in a way that is easy to follow. I found the descriptions of the various red and wine varietals very helpful as well as the suggestions for pairing with foods. I also found the information on tasting wine as well as organizing a wine tasting very helpful.

The Best Wine Reference Guide for the Adults!

Author Jennifer Frank does a masterful job of distilling a lot of wine information into useful bites that are easy to swallow. Each chapter is an executive summary with tons of cross-referencing to get you the answer you need when you just want to find out something specific. You don't need to read this book from start to finish- you can bounce around and still get all the information you need or want. The book is written with the beginner in mind, but does not follow the same "I-am-going-to-talk-to-you-like-a-baby" style like most other wine primers. Sure there are other books out there, but I like to think I am not a "dummy" or an "idiot" and this book never treats you like one! This is one of the best wine reference books out there for the new wine lover or for the wine enthusiast looking for a better reference to have around.
