Larson gives you a well written introduction to both algebra and geometry. The book starts from scratch in both subjects; assuming no prior instructional background. If you are a self motivated student, the text should stand you in good stead. The concepts are explained clearly, and you can choose your own pace of progress. But if you are a teacher, you can also see in the text that some sections could perhaps be covered quickly and some entirely omitted. The CD that accompanies the book can be of some use. Though it may not be necessary. The illustrations in the text are perfectly adequate for explaining to the student.
