This book is a great guide to preserving and dating old photographs for the family and local history researcher as well as the photograph collector. The author, Diane Gagel, is an expert on this subject due to her long experience as an archivist and family historian. The book is well organized, easy to read, and uses illustrations to show and tell. This book also lists sources for materials as well as more publications for further reference. Must have for anyone who wants to preserve a photo collection.
