Growing up in the town of Davison, Michigan in Junior High school is where Tonya first started writing poetry. Tonya continues to write to this day on several and diverse ranges of topics, which have been divided into sections throughout this book. After a stroke she lapsed into a coma. Her family learned she had 24 hours to live. Tonya came out of her coma against all odds and has adjusted to a life drastically changed. She realized she can no longer take things for granted. She realized tomorrow is not always a guarantee. It has always been her dream to complete a book of her poetry and put it into print. She was often told; "The only famous poet, is a dead poet." In her attempt to realize her dreams, Tonya finally took the time to create; "Windows of My Soul." So as you read through this book, know that you hold that dream in your hands, and those dreams do come true.
