It's just a summer job... until the portal opens.
Whitnee Terradora never expected to be whisked away from camp to a magical island with Morgan, Caleb, and a couple of curious campers. Things get weird fast when she discovers strange abilities-like summoning cyclones, healing with a touch, and even talking to a plant she accidentally set on fire.
Now they're all thinking it: Maybe finding the Island isn't a coincidence after all.
When an ancient prophecy stirs up controversy among the Island's leaders, Whitnee realizes she might just be a pawn in a dangerous game for power. At least Gabriel, the Guardian's assistant, seems to be an ally-and possibly a hot distraction Whitnee can't afford. Especially when she's supposed to be figuring out her feelings for Caleb.
With her father's disappearance still a mystery and the Island's problems growing worse every day, Whitnee wonders if pursuing the truth is worth the risk of never going home. And if she does find a way to leave, will her heart ever forgive her?
